SUMMARY:Tracer training
DESCRIPTION:TREC GB is running Day One\, Tracer Day of a TD training course at Blackheath\, Surrey on Sunday 9th November 2025. \nThis course is open to all members who wish to act as a tracer as well as qualified judges who want to train as TDs\, or as a TD refresher  and forms the first part of the two day TD course. The cost of the course is £25 for the Tracer day (FOC for those attending as a TD refresher). \nThe course aims to help tracers understand the differences between each level in TREC\, what is required to set a good POR\, what challenges should be provided for riders at each level and to try to ensure uniformity of technical difficulty to all levels of competition across the UK.\nFormat of the day: \n\nRegistration and coffee from 9.30am\, to start at 10am.\nBreaks during the day for tea/coffee and a lunch break.\nCourse to finish at around 4pm.\n\nIt will be classroom based with some practical outside work. Please bring whatever you usually use to draw maps\, set grids and bearings\, plus a packed lunch. Tea/coffee\, biscuits etc will be provided.  If you wish to attend the Tracer Day at Blackheath\, please fill in the form [via the button below] and arrange payment no later than Sunday 2nd November. \nIf you are unable to attend on the 9th November but would like to attend a future Tracer day\, please register your interest in future dates/locations by emailing admin@trecgb.com. \nApply for Tracer Training here

DESCRIPTION:Meeting at Pluckley\, Kent in the playground car park behind the Black Horse (currently not serving food\, but open for refreshments) \nWe will provide a blank map of this area and suggested approx 4km route in an area not too dissimilar to Winwick. Copy your route\, and head out to practice your navigation skills in small groups. For all levels\, please let me know (using the Contact Us form\, info@ email) what level you are intending to ride at so that I can provide suitable options & bring along enough copies. \nPost walk refreshment in the pub optional. There will be some climb\, aka contour practice\, unless you opt for setting your own route. Bring your map marking kit and compass. Leg cover & walking boots advisable due to vegetation in places. \nThis is primarily aimed at riders heading to the championships\, but open to all who want to explore the area and practice their navigation skills.
